Owner Bill Kohlman, Sr. has installed and serviced garage doors for more than 45 years. He is a founding member of the International Door Association (IDA), the professional organization that develops industry standards and promotes door dealer excellence. And Bill has met demanding criteria, successfully completed numerous examinations, and proven his competence, professionalism and knowledge of the industry.

Kathy Kohlman, Bill’s wife, and his son Bill Kohlman, Jr., are his business partners. Kathy manages Skillman Doors’ business affairs. As Installation Manager, Bill Jr. schedules and oversees customer projects and he trains all installers in IDA professional standards in accordance with the IDA’s Code of Conduct for Door and Access Systems Technicians. These professional standards ensure our technicians are qualified to install and repair any garage door system, and Skillman Doors' programs of continuing education and training keep them up to date on the industry’s latest trends and technological developments.

A Skillman Doors representative will let you know what woodwork, if any, is needed and prepare a written price agreement prior to installing your new door.
